Mrs. Minnie Shippee, 41, wife of Fred Shippee Jr., died last evening [Oct. 9, 1934] at 6:45 at her home on Riverside Drive after a long illness during which she underwent a serious operation at the Albany Hospital. She has been a resident of Corinth for 16 years and formerly resided in Conklingville and in Northville.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one daughter, Mrs. Floyd Wheaton, Corinth; two sons, William Allen, Corinth, and Kenneth Allen, Mayfield; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Rider, and three brothers, William, Luke and Charles Baker, all of Canajoharie. Five grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be held Friday [Oct. 12, 1934] at 2 p. m. at the late residence and at 2:30 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church, River Street. The Rev. Florence Baxter will officiate. Burial will be in Lynnwood Cemeter[y], Conklingville.

The funeral of Mrs. Fred Shippee Jr. whose death occurred Tuesday evening [Oct. 9, 1934] at her home on Riverside Drive, was held yesterday afternoon [Oct. 12, 1934] at 2 o'clock at the residence and 2:30 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church, River Street. The Rev. Florence Baxter, pastor, officiated at the prayer and the funeral services.
Many relatives and friends were in attendance and there were many floral tributes and remembrances.
Burial was in the Lynwood Cemetery, Conklingville, where the Rev. Miss Baxter gave the committal prayers.
Relatives were bearers.
