Obituary

Mrs. David Finch, age 68 years, wife of David Finch passed away at her home at 119½ W. Main street, Belding, Monday [sic], Sept. 1st [1942], at 9:30 o'clock in the morning. She leaves to mourn their loss the husband, 1 daughter, Mrs. Harry Barber of Grand Rapids, one son, Mr. Wesley Shippee, of Lansing, one sister, Mrs. Floyd Hale of Belding, one brother, James Bain, of Chelsea, one granddaughter, Mrs. Sam Raby, who was raised by Mrs. Finch, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Finch will lie in state at the Fitzjohn Funeral Home from Thursday until Friday [Sept. 4, 1942] at 2 o'clock when funeral rites will be held at the Fitzjohn Funeral Home with committal services at River Ridge cemetery. Arrangements by Holdwerda Funeral Home, Grand Rapids.
