Mrs. Julia Shippey, wife of Joseph Shippey, for 22 years a resident of Hersey township, died at her home south east of that village Saturday [Oct. 17, 1903] in her 74th year. About a month ago she fell at her home and broke her hip. She is survived by a husband and eight children. The funeral was held Monday [Oct. 19, 1903] from her home, Elder J. Pennals officiating. R. L. Lewis & Co. undertakers.

Mrs. Julia, wife of Elder Joseph Shippey, died at her late home, one mile east of Hersey, on Saturday, Oct. 17, 1903, of old age, aged 73 years. The deceased was one of Hersey's old settlers.
