Death at Woodbine.

WOODBINE, Sept. 22.—Mrs. Ellen Shippy died Tuesday, Sept. 20 [1898], after a long illness caused by a cancer of the stomach. The deceased was born in New York in 1831. In 1853 Ellen Baker and Mr. Shippy were united in marriage. In 1871 she moved to her farm about three miles north of this place where she lived till last spring when she moved to town so she could be close to the church she loved to attend. She leaves three children to mourn her decease: Mrs. Emma Weist of Junction City, Frank and William Shippy of this place. The funeral services will be held Thursday [Sept. 22, 1898] at 10 o'clock. She will be laid to rest in the German Baptist cemetery beside her husband.
