SHIPPEY — Mrs. Angie Celia, age 76 of 835 N. Hillside passed away in Lexington, Missouri Saturday morning [Dec. 17, 1955]. Funeral services will be conducted in the First Unitarian Church, corner Central and Topeka, at 3 p.m. Tuesday [Dec. 20, 1955]. Rev. John Isom, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Wichita Park Cemetery. This is a Cochran service.

Former Wichita Resident Dies Here

Mrs. Angie Celia Shippey, 76, died Saturday [Dec. 17, 1955] at Lexington Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. A resident of Wichita, Kans., most of her life, she had lived the past few months with a daughter, Mrs. H. S. Brady, Concordia.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon [Dec. 18, 1955] at James Funeral Home in Concordia. The Rev. F. W. Waid officiated. A service will be held tomorrow afternoon [Dec. 20, 1955] at Cochran Mortuary in Wichita, and burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Shippey was born June 15, 1879, at Titusville, Pa., daughter of David and Lucinda B. Hayes Gray. She was married to Dr. Roland Hall Shippey, who died July 19, 1937.

She was a member of the Unitarian Church and a lifetime member of the Women's Alliance of the Unitarian Church.

Besides Mrs. Brady, survivors include another daughter, Mrs. Clyde Pate, Wichita, and four grandchildren.
